Create and run an API test

This guide shows you how to create an API test in a few steps, from the live session to scenario execution.

Interactive tutorial

Open a live session

From the Kapptivate portal, click Live session, then select Web to access the web agent.

Enter the API URL

In the "Enter the request URL" field, type the URL of your API endpoint.

Execute manually

Click the green button to run the API call and check the response.

Check history

Click History to view previous API calls.

Add to scenario

Add the API call step to your test step list.

Create the test

Click Create the test and give it a descriptive name.

Save and execute

Click Save and execute to verify the scenario works.

Check the results

Review the execution status to confirm the test is operational.
