Assert displayed in a web test
Legacy step that verifies an element is visible on the page. Use Verify element in a web test instead.
Deprecated. This step no longer appears in the step palette. Existing tests that use it keep running. For new tests, use Verify element with the displayed state.
Verify that an element is visible on the page, failing if it does not appear within the timeout.
Parameters

| Target element | Yes, unless a manual selector is set | Natural-language description of the element that must be visible. |
| Manual selector | No | XPath or CSS selector, used when AI is disabled or as the saved selector. |
| Timeout | No | How long to wait for the element before failing. Default: 30s. |
| AI usage | No | inherit (default, follows the test strategy), smart, or always. |
| Ignore error on this step | No | The run continues with the next step if this one fails. Default: off. |
Results and metrics
- Timing: start, end, and duration (in seconds) recorded in the step result. On failure, the duration reflects the full timeout.
- Status: success if the element became visible within the timeout, failed otherwise.
