Navigate to URL
Load a URL in the current tab, with optional checks on the page that loads.
Load a page by URL: jump to a deep link mid-scenario, or open a link extracted from an email. Every web test also starts with a locked "Navigate to starting page" step, which is this same step pointed at the test's starting URL.
Parameters

| URL | Yes | The address to load, for example https://www.example.com. Supports variables, so you can navigate to an extracted link. |
| Checks | No | Step checks evaluated after the page loads: URL, loading time, and step duration. Each check can fail the step or only raise a warning. |
Results and metrics
- Timing: start, end, and duration (in seconds) recorded in the step result.
- Loading time: measured for the page load and compared against your checks.
- Check results: each configured check reports its expected and actual values. A failing
errorcheck fails the step; a failingwarningcheck marks it as a warning. - Status: success, warning, or failed.
- Screenshot: captured once the page has loaded.
