Manage security policies

Assign users, clone existing policies, or set a workspace default to streamline how security policies are managed and applied.

After creating and configuring a security policy, assign users to it, clone it as a starting point for new policies, or mark it as the workspace default.

Assign users to a policy

The Users section at the bottom of the policy form shows who the policy applies to. A new policy shows "No users assigned to this policy yet."

Click Add Users, select users from the modal (search by name, username, or email), and confirm. To remove a user, click the delete button next to their name.

Clone a policy

Cloning copies a policy as a starting point for a new one. Open the ⋮ menu on a policy's row, choose Clone, then modify the copy as needed. The cloned policy is created as a custom (non-default) policy.

Set a default policy

Mark a policy as the default for your workspace. The Default badge in the list shows which one is active. New users are automatically assigned the default policy unless you assign them to a different one.

Only one policy can be the default at a time.
